Just back from another hols in Barbon. The Churchmouse, by coincidence our fave breakfast bacon butty place had a Friday Italian night & we had a fab meal with hosts Jules & John, who looked after us royally. For £30 per head we had 4 courses of beautifully cooked & presented Italian fare (I’ve included a photo of the menu) together with excellent regional Italian wines. As a daytime café this is super for light lunches, and coffee and cake, but we attended one of their occasional Bistro Nights. Jules Natlacen, chef and joint patron, excelled with her imaginative menu. Husband John, joint patron, delivered bonhomie and a wide choice of wines at front of house, ably assisted by the glamourous Katie, stylishly dressed for the occasion.
