Wow. Been to Millom 3 times over the years and only just found this gem. The lady who’s greeted us and served us, was so friendly and welcoming! We had our 3 whippets and they had a lovely time aswell.Food was amazing! Absolutely everything we had was delicious. And we were sat by an open fire, what a way to end a long windy and rainy walk.

We were cycling on a Tuesday in March and were delighted to find the pub open and serving food. There was a lovely fire and friendly service. We had tea and beans on toast to see us on our way. They also serve proper diners and a good selection of breakfasts. Food served from 10 am.

We had a very nice meal, very friendly staff and a welcoming ambience. There was a little wait for the food but staff were very apologetic and offered us free drinks. Will definitely return when in area and thoroughly recommend. Teenage sons said the burgers were excellent!

A large group of 11 of us turned up unannounced and the service was excellent. Despite already being quite busy they managed to accommodate us without bother. The food was excellent value and everyone really enjoyed their meals. The make your own burgers is a fantastic idea. We'll definitely return. Thanks everyone!

Really really disappointed with the steak asked for ribeye medium rare but more on the rare side, it came well done. Sent it back was the worse steak I’ve ever tasted definitely wasn’t a rib eye steak. Avoid the steak

We have visited the King William at least 4 times now (sorry it’s taken so long to write a review). It probably speaks for itself that we keep returning !VenueThe pub was only recently renovated, so it’s fresh and very tastefully decorated.StaffIt is service with a smile every time as the staff are very friendly and accommodating - nothing is too much trouble.FoodThey have a varied menu, food is delicious, always cooked well and nicely presented.ValueReally good VfM .. the prices are very reasonable and considering (as above), you get good service, great food in a nice venue, it makes perfect sense to visit, or keep returning (as we will!).

Looking for a place to eat in this area is tricky out-of-season, so we're lucky to have found this 7 day a week, day and evening restaurant. Good food, nice beer, speedy service with a smile and reasonably priced. Thanks.

Sunday Lunch. Roast Beef or Lamb £12. Lamb was fabulous. Moist and flavourful and the lamb gravy was fantastic. Desserts £6 and they were also amazing, the lightest most gorgeous sticky toffee pudding i have ever had. Staff were pleasant and friendly but also good at their jobs. Lovely fresh decor with open fire and very dog friendly. Would have been a 5 but no Amber or Ruby ales, just Timothy Taylors. We will be back .
