Great little pub unfortunately as of Spring 2022 they cannot seem to get a chef so currently not doing food. Still a nice place to call for a drink, good outside space and some good beers and ciders.
The locals are in here as well as holiday makers, decent standard pub food at a pub food price, with the lasagne a firm favourite of repeat bookers that seemed to live there. Friendly, a real ale winner, and all the rest, plenty of parking, but perfect to walk to if you are staying. Check opening hours as covid/brexit has hammered all the lake district pubs and I'm sure this used to be open more. Lovely pub to go for a drink. Only pub close to where we were staying. No food served here. Dog friendly. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Close to request stop railway station. Open 2pm til pub empty. Makes sence. Friendly people.
