Visit could not have been worse. Paid and pre booked rooms for married couple, our daughter and grandson. Arrived at 7.30pm having travelled from London for a funeral. Initially ignored by the bartender, but subsequently shown to our rooms. Big mistake, one of our rooms let out to somebody else resulting in our daughter sleeping in the same bed as our grandson. Went down for a meal only to be told kitchen closed but ' You can go to Tesco and fetch food back to eat in our restaurant' ?. Enquired about breakfast in the morning told, ' We are not doing breakfast but go out of the door, turn right and you will find a bakers shop'. I've given the one star simply because the room and en suite were acceptable. On the whole a very bad experience totally unacceptable. Would advise 'stay clear'.

Lovely pub to go for a drink. Only pub close to where we were staying. No food served here. Dog friendly. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Close to request stop railway station. Open 2pm til pub empty. Makes sence. Friendly people.

Nice pub and very welcoming only reason for the 4 stars is they advertise food but no longer offer this. Shame as great pub with nice people.

Great little pub unfortunately as of Spring 2022 they cannot seem to get a chef so currently not doing food. Still a nice place to call for a drink, good outside space and some good beers and ciders.

The locals are in here as well as holiday makers, decent standard pub food at a pub food price, with the lasagne a firm favourite of repeat bookers that seemed to live there. Friendly, a real ale winner, and all the rest, plenty of parking, but perfect to walk to if you are staying. Check opening hours as covid/brexit has hammered all the lake district pubs and I'm sure this used to be open more. Only downer was it says "for sale" would be tragic if Silecroft lost this pub, I've been coming for 50 years to this beach, will be making this pub a regular visit to try to keep it going.

Friendly local real ale pub that does a small but very good range of food all home made. Dog friendly and also a sheltered sunny beer garden.Open every day except Monday and Tuesday as seems normal around here.

We were staying within walking distance but they don't open during the day so we weren't able to go for drinks after our walks and they aren't serving food as apparently they don't have a chef. You can't find any information about this pub as they don't have a website and there fb page isn't regularly updated.

Called at 1530hrs told they were serving food. Drove 20 minutes to get there only to be told no food as they had a large booking coming in soon. I explained we had called, got told it must have been ages ago, I explained no only 20 minutes. Got given menus and told to order straight away. We felt rushed and like we were in the way. We sat down with a menu that makes Macdonald's look Al a carte. Poor choice all oven and microwave meals. Appalling place, customer service and food. I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a rusty spoon than go back to this establishment.
