Delightful cafe with very friendly staff! Food was lovely, venue was lovely in a cosy setting and great view. Pork and apple burger was super tasty. Most importantly, lots of choice for gluten free! Pretty much all sandwiches could be made gluten free, and a lot of the specials had gluten free adaption.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free available!

So sad very wet, arranged to meet a friend but told dogs not allowed. First person said that lease would not allow dogs, another said that a member of staff allergic to dogs. Did not note on website that any reference to dogs. So I was left in the rain. Had to return to cottage and then walk back to meet friend. A pity that staff would not allow me to shelter.

How the staff being so young are trained to such a high standard is beyond belief. We had our Christmas meal this evening and it was the very best meal we ever had.Every single part of the meal was hot,veg was cooked to perfection.premises were very clean, couldn’t fault at all except the gravy boat was badly chipped, well done ?

We drop in here for a snack and coffee before returning south. Good food and friendly staff, but if you're stopping at lunchtime it can get busy and you'd be advised to book a table.

This place is just lovely! The food is tasty and plentiful. Staff are attentive but not in your face. Excellent choice of food and it’s so clean and warm with a log burning stove.Just one tiny, tiny negative; please would you consider serving your delicious breakfasts a little longer into the day? I’ve been unable to get a breakfast twice at 10.15 and 10.30am. Would you consider doing breakfast until 11am please?Overall, a fabulous place with fabulous tasty food and a lovely service from very diligent staff. Thank you all.Parking: Easy parking near to the entrance

Another fabulous meal. The haddock and chips were so light and delicious and the millionaire brownies were to die for.

Looks welcoming but were not allowed in with our dogs which is very surprising in the Lakes . Unusual not to have at least a small section for walkers with dogs , most pubs and eating places in the Lakes do and it is many years since we experienced this .We have a dog friendly holiday cottage not far away and will not be recommending to our guests .
