Had a lovely Sunday lunch today. Pate and pulled pork croquettes to start, roast beef and 3 little pigs medley then apple and rhubarb crumble. Everything was delicious and very generous portions also good value for money. The staff were very welcoming and it was cosy with the log burners on. We did laugh when the crumble came out with the Pyrex jug of custard, a yummy homely touch. We will definitely return to try some of the other dishes on offer.

Off the beaten track for a lunchtime visit on Friday, both log burners we're blazing on a cold winter day. The fish and chips were simply the best I've ever had, anywhere!

Lovely little country pub. Sunday Lunch was fantastic, great portions without being excessively huge and well priced.Friendly vibe for 'outsiders', no one eyeing you up when you come in the door and some great local walks too. Very highly recommended.

Went in for dinner recently. Had the Vegetarian mozzarella burger and the beef brisket. Both absolutely cooked to perfection and on one.of.the best vegetarian burgers I have ever had.Portion sizes were fantastic too.The chocolate fudge cake dessert was lovely and moist too.Staff attentive and polite, the atmosphere was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

What a great venue! Stopped in this evening after a long hard day's work for some real food! And the food was top notch, great chef and menu. Definitely worth visiting this village and popping in to the butchers arms! Great job with this place, what a gem.

We visited on a Saturday lunch time when the offering is 'brunch' and very tasty it was too. Two of us had the wild mushrooms and one the salmon and scrambled egg. The large and small full breakfast looked good too. Perhaps there could have been more salmon? Simple but delightful decor, lovely ambience, very friendly and good device. Highly recommended!

When the weather has been as inclement as it has been recently, and you're in a far flung corner of the county. It's good to know there are these havens of warmth, friendliness and proper grub dotted around. There's nothing better than coming back from a walk as the light fades on a wet day, than seeing a log fire burning through a condensated window and the promising smell of a fine feast. And once you enter the threshold you are not disappointed. Fine ales abound and a merry atmosphere envelopes you. Bringing back memories of being a young child in your mother's arms. Table sizes to suit the group you're in . And a simple menu with something for everyone. All cooked to perfection. We shall be back.

Yet another superb trip to the Butchers Arms where community spirit and effort has made this place a great destination eatery! This time we tried the Cous cous and a most delicious Vegan burger. Generous portions as always! Lovely friendly local staff who give the warmest of welcomes , although log burning ? fires add to that warmth in winter. Take time out to visit , eat and maybe a cheeky beer on the side?!
