Delightful old and modern place. Nice choice of food and beverages. Dog friendly. Next door to pub with beer garden with which it shares toilet facilities which are modern and spotless. Short walk from the sheltered bay and little beach. Perfect landing place for dinghies and yachts with a tender.
Great choice of sandwiches, cakes/bakes and hot drinks. Clean and welcoming with friendly service. The soup was delicious. Perfect stop off if walking in the Howtown area or on the Ullswater Way.

Beautiful tea room perfect for a pit stop after coming off the fells and before getting the steamer back to Glendinning or Pooley Bridge. Great cakes. Worth a visit. Only open in summer season (we came Good Friday 2024 and it had only been open a day or two).
