Bar • “I took my partner for an evening meal to celebrate her birthday, we enjoyed the overall experience. I have marked the food down due to the mushroom and tomato portion size that I had with the fillet steak, the price with a peppercorn sauce was £37, I expected better. One thing to take into account is the 12.5% service charge, which is discretionary and goes to the staff. We spent £128.50, so with the 12.5% it inflated the bill to £144.38. My rule of thumb is that IF the service is good, which it was in this case, I give 10% and that is what I payed.The atmosphere was o. k.”

“The Cow Dalbury was simply wonderful. The staff are lovely, the rooms are lovely, the breakfast by the fire is lovely. Simply everything I could have hoped for. It was a real refuge after a long day of doing and travelling.”
