the restaurant is small, it would be very busy at lunch time. the homemade cakes look delicious. victoria sandwich cake was ok. the meals were value for money. the special beef bourguignon and salmon salad were tasty. the soup serviced in a large bowl. will visit again. the afternoon tea is required 24 hours advance order.

Beautiful breakfast today 1/1/24 we sat at table 1 with the most incredible view , lovely food and lovely atmosphere and we were really impressed how hard the management were working along side the staff, great to see! Would recommend this lovely place ?

What an asset this restaurant is to Carsington Water. It has incredible views of the water, and is suitable for walkers, bird watchers etc as they are clearly used to boots and rain coats. The food is excellent, well cooked, plentiful and good value. The staff were both friendly and efficient.
