We have been to Columbine twice in recent weeks, on both occasions before performances at the Opera House. We had been severel years before but havd never managed to go back - it is necessary to book well in advance, especially during the Festival. Going to Columbine always feels like a treat. Our meals were outstanding. The menus were different on each of our visits. There were set prices for two or three courses. It was lovely to return to the Columbine on this visit to Buxton after 4 years! Food, ambience and service as lovely as ever on two visits. The owners are retiring soon and we wish them well. Do hope the restaurants taken over by sympathetic and equally efficient owners.

Going back more than ten years, I've had excellent interesting food at the Columbine, and was hoping to visit again on my birthday in a month's time. Best wishes to Kim and Steve on their "retirement".
