Just popped in for a drink after a long days walking around the district. Very friendly staff, large rooms both sides of the entrance with plenty of seating. Although very busy service didn't take long.Brilliant selection of drinks and crisps. Tasty pint of unicorn.

We had a good meet up with friends today for lunch. Our friend said her dinner was good but could have been hotter. My plate was aired and the steak pie was just a little over salted for me but otherwise good. The chocolate brownie a little dry. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Popped in for a pie and a pint and was impressed. Turkey and leek was delicious so again thumbs up to the staff. That’s numerous visits now and not one thing to complain about. ??
Second time in 2 month that we came here the first was a Tuesday lunch time we left a review on google and today a Sunday at lunch time again! No booked in just turn up! Atmosphere amazing customer service spot on and food!!! Top restaurant quality with honest price and that’s a bonus

We went for a walk along the Monsal trail today and called in The Anchor Inn on our way home. Lovely surroundings, very cosy sat by the fire and the food was absolutely outstanding. The real positive was the staff. All polite and incredibly friendly. It’s a good hours drive from where we live but I wouldn’t hesitate in driving back for lunch again.
