We found this place online and decided to try whilst away. The food was brilliant and following advice from our waitress we left more than satisfied. With just a short walk home afterwards we each enjoyed their a la carte menu paired with their choice of wines. If you're out that way or nearby I would definitely recommend paying a visit!
I popped in to Merchants Yard for a drink one Saturday evening and really enjoyed the comfortable seating, elegant decor and relaxed atmosphere so much I brought my family back the next day for Sunday lunch. It has a reputation as doing an excellent roast and we were still left surprised with how good it was. Had a beautiful evening meal and wonderful relaxing overnight stay. Restaurant busy but still had an excellent meal and great service. Very comfortable and spacious room all in keeping with style of the venue. Breakfast in the morning was also excellent.
