Very cute dog friendly pub with great food and lovely owners. Would recommend to everyone to pop in if they’re in the area. A large pub with lots of tables and a fire.. what more could you ask? Thank you!

Never been here before. Came here from Manchester with a large party to celebrate my Dads birthday as he lives in Chesterfield. From outside I Didn’t think much of it. Nice traditional down to earth country pub feel when we walked in.But the food was just amazing ! Best home cooked food we’ve had in a very long time. The ribs were huge and perfectly cooked so that the meat just fell off the bones. All starters were nice and everyone was very happy with their dishes. The pies were also great and the sticky toffee pudding was exceptional as well. Again home made. The locals were all warm and friendly.I would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great home cooked food.SeanManchester

Just had lunch here today, and have to say it was the most lovely meal. Between us we had parsnip soup, beef casserole, cheese & onion pie and gammon steak, and it was all absolutely delicious. Lovely friendly staff too. We will return, when we can hopefully manage dessert as well! Also a bonus to have a decent alcohol free beer available (Doom Bar 0.0), which many places don’t.

This one felt like a hidden gem.Beautiful little pub that served some delicious food. Staff and atmosphere were great and the prices were very reasonable.I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Very nice meeting spot for local folk and it keeps Harpur Hill alive and busy. However it's a bit fancy.
