Great traditional pub that serves a fantastic pint, been coming in 20years which just shows how warm and friendly the bar staff and regulars are. 2 x darts teams, pool teams, live football on numerous screens, what more could you want! A real part of the community and long may it continue
If your passing on your way to or back from town whilst staying at Premier Inn. This is a great tradition pub, with darts, pool, sports. A big welcome from landlord with friendly locals. A pub full of character & characters, not a bland plastic space. Excellent pint of Wainwright's. Thank you for your hospitality.

I was staying in the hotel nearby, and only popped in for a quick pint, and although i didnt get chatting with the locals, it didnt feel 'clickie' and the barman was friendly. Ive no reason not to pop in there when im next in the area.
