Popped in for a spot of lunch on a very chilly Buxton market day. We received a warm friendly welcome from all the staff. The food was delicious, my husband had the pie of the day which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had a festive toastie. We will definitely be back. Keep up the good work.

My wife and I called in to this place today purely off the back of all the excellent reviews on here. We weren’t disappointed. They advertise that a warm welcome is guaranteed and that was certainly true! All the staff were genuinely friendly and we really felt valued and looked after as did our little Spaniel who they made a real fuss of. We enjoyed a light lunch of tuna melt toasties and a beer each. The toasties were hot, fresh and very tasty with a generous portion of fries. A lovely laid back atmosphere added to the overall experience. We will certainly visit again when in the area - top marks Team Vault, thank you!

Popped into this pub for a Saturday afternoon drink. Good selection services by friendly staff. Clean and spacious premises. Good value and would go again.

We stopped by this place and decided to have our meal there; it was an immaculate restaurant, and the staff was friendly. We ordered Chicken curry and braised beef it comes in large portions very tasty. Hopefully we can come back again.

We’ve been into The Vault on quite a few occasions recently. The food is excellent, always cooked fresh to order. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Recently I organised an afternoon tea for a group of ladies to celebrate a friends birthday. The afternoon tea was excellent value for money. A lovely selection of sandwiches, beautiful home made scones (still warm) with jam and cream and a variety of cakes. Along with plenty of tea and coffee. One of the ladies required a gluten free afternoon tea, which was catered for without a problem. My husband said The Vault serve the best Full English breakfast in town. I can definitely recommend The Vault for meals or just drinks. We will definitely return.

Called in for impromptu lunch today and was spoilt for choice with the mouthwatering choices on the normal menu and specials board. Great tea/coffee options and an incredibly well stocked bar too. Staff, are alert, chatty and friendly. Felt really comfortable on my own and can't wait to go again as my food was delicious and great value too

If only we had found this pub at the beginning of our holiday instead of the end! We would have eaten here every day, had that been the case as the whole experience would not have been beaten! Please make sure you walk up to Higher Buxton to try the food here as you will not be disappointed. We were given a warm and friendly welcome and were really pleased with the choice on the menu. My wife had the braised beef in red wine, which she said was one of the best meals she had ever had out, with the beef melting in her mouth, and I had one of the homemade pies which was filled to the brim and was really tasty. Both were served with creamy mashed potatoes and roasted carrots, and a jug of homemade gravy. Added to this, the waitress, Sally, was really friendly and interested in places we had been, and the whole experience was wonderful and really reasonable in price too. Wish this place was in my home town. (photo is of the pie I had, with a jug of homemade gravy in the top left hand corner)

Went in for a light lunch with the family at 11am on a Friday, the two of us had toasties while the kids had some kids meals. Despite it being busy the server came over quickly and with a smile. The drinks came quickly and the food was only 10 minutes behind them. Once the food was layed the server asked if we wanted anything else and if we wanted any drinks. The Tuna melt I had was really nice while my wife’s BBQ chicken looked amazing. The kids meals also looked good and the beans where in ramekins for my fussy eaters. It was well priced for my table of 5 and the service was above and beyond. Came back a couple weeks later for the Sunday Lunch and it was amazing, big portions of meat and veg all well cooked and full of flavour. I liked my Gammon thin and asked for it so and was told it was cut to order which is a really good sign. Again service was fast and with a smile and the footy was on. The gammon was juicy but not fatty and my wife’s pork look good with a thick bit of crackling. Veg was plentiful and tasted just as cared for as the meats we had. All in all both times were a great experience ans we are diffinitely coming back again 10/10
