First time visit and they were busy (always a good sign). We managed to get a table but were advised there would be a wait. We weren't kept too long and the meals (smoked haddock risotto and salmon with Asian spices were really tasty as was the ice cream dessert. Staff were friendly and attentive, providing a bottle of chilled water on arrival. Would definitely go again!
We had the salmon (very nice) and venison steak (absolutely excellent) as mains. The cooking was little different to usual, but we both liked it. The portions were generous to southern experience. Service excellent.

The food choice is interesting in the best possible way.\\n\\nThere were things on the menu that we never thought we would be able to try, and the staff are so friendly and the service is out of this world.\\n\\nThe food arrived promptly, was made of fresh and good quality ingredients.\\n\\nWe don't live in Buxton but would return to eat here. Thank you for making me and my son feel so welcome :)
