Updating my review from 5 years ago. Gave 5 stars then but in my opinion it went downhill and we stopped visiting.However we've since returned and the new owners have turned it around again. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Food is delicious.Yesterday I had the "Mixed grill Madness!"Wow! £10.99 bargain. Everything cooked to perfection!
We have been going to Blue Stoops for years as a family at Christmas and have been very pleased with it but this year was very disappointing.Our first impression was the bar which used to have a great selection of local artisan beers on draught but this year there were just 3 standard beers on draught.We ordered coffees and teas which were served on a very dirty looking tray. not a great start but unfortunately things didn't improve.We had the Christnmas lunch menu. Basic fare. Nothing special. Not a great selection on the menu. Ordered cheese and garlic bread extra which didn't turn up. Told the waitress and she returned some time later (when we had finished the main course) with a portion of cheesy chips. When we queried it she replied that they had run out of bread!!
