Always a warm welcome in this ancient and much-loved pub. Just outside the city-centre, with easy connections to major roads, an off-road carpark, and only 10 minute walk into town if you want to be in the middle of the shops.
We visited yesterday and were very impressed with the service we received. We were given the opportunity to sample a beer we hadn't tried before and the landlady insisted on replacing a pint of Pedigree as it was the last served from the cask despite us telling her it tasted fine. We'll be back.

My favourite pub in Derby, I came here to watch the rugby and have a few pints and enjoyed the night. Great selection of pints at a good price and the pub has a lot of character. Can't wait for the summer to have a pint outside!
