The Palatine is a nice Robinson pub located at the Hadfield end of the Longdendale trail. It was featured on The League of Gentlemen, and is known for its great service and well-kept Robbies beer. The bar staff are friendly and attentive, and the regulars are welcoming and approachable. It is a warm and friendly pub, perfect for having a pint after a long walk. Although it doesn't serve food, it is a great place to spend some time, and it is located near Reshma, a highly recommended takeaway place on the high street.
