Dropped off the Tissington Trail for a drop of liquid refreshment at this excellent village boozer.Two pints of Farmers Blonde and a portion of chips later, we were sufficiently fortified to carry on!

Perfect place to eat and have a few drinks after a long day walking the hills. With a cosy fire in the restaurant side where we enjoyed a hearty meal and plenty to choose from on tap across both bars.Walkability: Five minute walk from the hostel we stayed after spending the day walking.Food & drinks: Plenty of pub classics as well as chef’s specials and a selection of burgers. Excellent Sunday lunch today . Pork was so tender and melted in the mouth . Great selection of vegetables and great Yorkshire pudding . The sticky toffee pudding was to die for . Highly recommended if you looking for a testy Sunday lunch . Service we excellent with the young lad been very attentive as he was new I think .
