“As surprising as it sounds they have a lovely section with meats from a local butcher. Very convenient hours especially compared to most other butchers.”

“I went with my sister and young grand children yesterday, the food was lovely, definitely recommend them. But there was an incident as I were taking the young ones to the toilet, an elderly man who was sat down made an awful and disgusting comment to me as we walked past him. He asked if he could join me in the toilet! My grandsons didn't really hear him but my 10 year old niece did,and she was shocked! As we walked back out the man was walking out,so I told him the comment he made was disgusting especially in front of children, his excuse was he was only joking! I did tell the members of staff about what happened and they said they would pass this on to management. From what they said he was a regular customer in there.I hope someone tells this man that he's barred from there!”

“Nice campsite with beautiful views. Very busy with lots of families so facilities like the toilets always full. Food was nice, but over priced for the quality- the local pubs are fab tho. Great to be able to hire a log burner and fuel.”

“Can’t fault this place, went first time in June with a couple of friends and came back over the weekend as we were staying near Castleton to go walking. Both days had a fabulous lunch, the food is delicious, the portions are generous, just the kind of thing you want after going for a long walk.

Everything I’ve had has been delicious and serving is quick, also the coleslaw there is about the best I’ve had anywhere. Will be back 100%”
