It's a really nice farm type campsite in an extremely popular hill village. Despite the fact that it's been tipping it down since I got here I'm really happy with the site and the simple/clean toilet block. ......will try their cafe for breakfast tomorrow!
Came here as a kid but was amazed at how it had changed. We are waiting for the new toilet block then will definitely book in. Onto the food and drink. We used the cafe twice last week. First time was on a Sunday, very busy and no Sunday roasts left so opted for the roast sandwiches which were well priced and tasted amazing. Staff were very friendly and the place was clean and very professionally run. The 2nd visit mid week we opted for items off the faltbread part of the menu....read full review

Camped with my kids, great location. Nice clean site, pub on the doorstep, pizza served on site & campfires allowed - perfect!Looking forward to going back.Nearby activities: Mam Tor, Caves, Cavens, Edale, Kinder Scout, Castleton - the peaks!Walkability: The Pennie way is virtually at the entrance to the site.Food & drinks: The old nags head serves lovely meals, but gets busy. Pizza served on site.
