Best chippy in ilkeston. However the competition is thin. Its just been newly kitted out.The lunchtimes specials are good value. I do like the addition of the mushy pea fritters. Homemade fish cakes not as good as they used to be, neither are the chips.However since my last review, I have noticed a definite sharp improvement.I went in before close a couple weeks back. edited to reflect change:Used to be decent, and decent prices, however now I would say it's small portions for a high price, with a lot of the time the chips being bottom scrappy bits that are no potato and all skin.The homemade fishcakes still remain amazing, but sadly I think the quality and quantity to value no longer matches up.

We visited the restaurant today and had a lovely fish and chip meal with excellent service. The only downside is that the menus are on grubby paper, have tried to email but for some reason it will not let me send, have tried 5 times. All I wanted to ask was, why can the sheets not be laminated so that they can be hygienically sprayed and cleaned.
