Premier Inn in Matlock hotel exceeded all my expectation! Stayed here last year for valentine's and I rang the reception beforehand if they could do a little surprise or a treat for when we enter the room.They had champagne, roses, chocolate, petals on the bed and everything. The staff at the reception were incredible and so thoughtful.Matlock is a beautiful quaint town, would not stay anywhere else than here, easy to walk from the station too!
Good location for Matlock, Matlock Bath, Bakewell and Buxtion area. There is plenty of parking and easy to find.Own restaurant was good for evening meal but second night no chefs turned up to only basic food available. Breakfast was disappointing with the choice of cold foods and hot Breakfast was uninviting. Rubbery scrambled egg, congealed fried eggs, empty dishes waiting to be refilled.
