Room 5 currently not suitable to sleep in. Clear and obvious present of damp shown by very strong odour and visable evidence as soon as entered the room. Left after two minutes and did not stay as not acceptable accomodation to sleep in such a health risk environment. Manager informed Greggs staff that there would be a full refund. Staff said they were "sorry and thought the smell would be ok". Showing they were fully away of the issues with the room.Cannot speak for other rooms.

This is now a Greggs and food quality not good. Pasties and sausage rolls just above cold.

Very sadly this is now a Greggs, no longer full English at our halfway point. Lost a gem, gained s bog standard. Why do these chains take over everything. Surprised not Costa. Won't be going in again. Have to find another nice place that does good quality breakfast.

Our room was clean and warm, water was hot, and with toiletries provided. It is on the A35, but sound-proofing is surprisingly well, one can't hardly hear the traffic when windows were shut. The restaurant has become a Greggs, so no more free breakfast. You need to get the room key from the cashier of Greggs, and ask them for WiFi password. There is a petrol station next door and they have a convenience store there. Axminster is just 10 minutes away, with some good choices for dinner. Overall, the motel is ideal for an overnight rest on the road.

Finding the place was ok if you were looking for a35 pitstop which doesn't exist. It is now a greggs and rooms around the back. sorry for the bad review but wasn't what I expectedRooms: The room was ok for a night, clean and tidy, one issue was the smell coming from the bathroom when the extractor was runningNearby activities: None that we could seeWalkability: There was a pub near byFood & drinks: No food as such only available was Gregg's which closed at 6pm then you were left the garage shopNoteworthy details: So do not take the details from the web site nothing on there applies to what you get now, No cafe for breakfast only Gregg's before you leave We had to ask for the WiFi password, TV was tiny

It's now a Greggs. Did try some food, expecting it to be hot (pizza slice) but was stone cold.

Been a while since we've stopped at The Pit Stop to break up our journey, was disappointed to find Gregg's here today instead.

Hard to locate as it is a Gregg's now. Wifi info not easily found. Clean. No listing for taxis if you need one. The one we got through to suggested we walk

Had the mega breakfast which was anything but mega. Standard size anywhere else. Told they had no fresh tomatoes but they had tinned I was expecting plum tomatoes which I don’t mind but no I got chopped tomatoes! Who in their right mind. Prices are extortionate and quality poor. Apparently becoming a Greggs! Thank goodness place is a joke.

Used this place as a stop off for breakfast during a long journey. I would highly recommend their breakfast. Great service too

First visit here. Never again. Sandwiches were supposed to be cheddar cheese and pickle but the cheese tasted like cardboard. Half a jar of pickle which fell out into a mess on the plates. At £6.99 each not cheap either!Parking: Plenty of parking.

Great food and friendly service, really nice coffee too! We'll definitely be back next time we are going west.

Lovely cafe to stop at just a shame they’d stopped doing food at 1.45 on the 8/3. Three more parties came in after us asking for food. They advertise open till 5 with all day breakfast so bit confusing

A great cafe and a proper 'greasy spoon'. Great breakfasts and that is getting hard to find these days! Most recently had a Ploughman's and it was great- spicy marinated pickles, homemade sweet pickle, great ham and cheese. You would not think you could get such nice food in such a basic little place! When we drive down to Devon, as routes can vary, we literally try to make sure we pick up the A35 Pit Stop if we possibly can! The staff are always friendly too and the food is always out pronto, so if you don't want to stop for too long or don't want to gamble on hungry children getting restless, you know you can stop here and still get a good meal.Food & drinks: Really good standardKid-friendliness: Great
