Nice cafe but a bit stingy with the bacon in bacon roll. Good hot chocolate. Cosy atmosphere.

Such a cute, dog friendly place! Great food, personal favourite is the Mushroom and Spinach Breakfast Baguette. My child loves the Gazillionaire Shortbread...(a hybrid of Brownie and Millionaires Shortbread). If you are in the area it's well worth a visit. Tap and bowl for dog water outside. Plenty of seats in and out. Blankets provided for outside seats in case of damp seats even!Vegetarian options: Mushroom and Spinach Baguette is a must!Oat/ soya milk available for drinksParking: National Trust pass holders park for free and others pay about £3 to park. We park for free at nearby Bovey Park and walk there as part of a dog walk.Kid-friendliness: Caters for children no problem...kids love the cakes, they have a choice of smoothie cartons and snacks too.

This cafe gave me a cozy feeling which I loved! The afternoon cream tea (instead of tea I had coffee) was beautiful, the scones was delicious but left you feeling full, the service was fantastic here! I'd definitely go again!

Following a good walk around the park, I called in at the cafe for a cream tea. The scones, cream and jam ,were plentiful and probably the best I've ever tasted. We sat outside to eat our meal but It was rather a cloudy and damp day.

After a walk on a frosty day, it was lovely to stop by a cream tea . Great price. Lovely scones. We had a dog with us, so we sat outside and loved the little blankets to sit on as benches were damp. Lovely !

Lovely food. A step above the average cafe. It does cost a bit more but really pleased we visited.Vegetarian options: Tasty veggie options that aren't the standard pasta with sauce. Veggie options can be made vegan.Parking: It's a reasonable size car park but quite busy so might be hard to find a space.
We'd had a lovely walk along the River and stopped on the way back to the car park. Lovely pot of tea and great tasting cakes.Parking: This is a National Trust property so if a member parking is free otherwise you need to pay

I took my son out for breakfast here. The meal was absolutely delicious. We both had the avocado on toast with feta, bacon and pomegranate with a vinaigrette. We could not fault it. A great coffee too. Will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend the cafe.
