This review is for the cafe only. The house of marbles itself is great, but we visited the cafe and received a very unfriendly 'welcome'. We were made to feel that we were in the way. In fact we changed tables after we first sat down because we were seated next to a noisy family with small children, but then they had to check that we were allowed to change tables (we got a reluctant yes from an ever unsmiling waitress). My cake was not very fresh, but the tea was OK. We won't be returning in the near future.

Pleasurable visit, unique gifts all sorts of marbles sizes colours love the large marble run quite relaxing to watch. Upstairs has nice fashion clothes accessories but can only get up there via the staircase. Cafe is relaxing like time gone by and a very nice choice of food and cake.? Worth a visit ?

Alot more fun, and enjoyable than you could expect. Taken here by a friend, as I wouldn't have ever chosen to go myself, but I was wrong. It's a great place, lots of fascinating things. Free too. Huge extensive gift shop and retail.

Popped in for breakfast, superb as usual. They have a good range of gifts, toys and games as well as kitchen and garden items.

Lovely restaurant- great goods on sale. Fantastic working marble displays - great place to spend a couple of hours- downside is it’s quite pricey
Just such a wonderful place to visit and it’s free to enter! The children watched the glass blowing and walked around fascinated at the old games and marble runs. The gift shop is wonderful and so reasonably priced that even a penny-pinching person will end up buying something. Staff were very helpful and friendly. All in all definitely worth a visit!

My (at the time) 10 year old sister said they do the best chicken nuggets she’s ever had!

In the past we have often called in for a coffee when returning from the moors. Today and a previous occasion we waited to be seated as per the notice at the cafe entrance until eventually, after 5 minutes or so, a member of staff came and advised us if we hadn't booked they were full. This was at 2.30. It would be good if a notice was placed at the cafe entrance to this effect to save waiting so long for a member of staff to advise. We have used the cafe many times in the past but won't be in the future.
