What a FABULOUS little pub. THIS is what true pubs should be like. It is community run, and my wife and I went on spec. hoping to get a meal. The pub was busy, (early evening) but we were made welcome immediately. They checked, and said YES, they could fit us in. A great choice of beers and lagers. Lunch there today. Friendly welcome and quaint surroundings. Preceeded lunch by a pleasant stroll around this lovely village in bright sunshine. Very restricted menu whereas 'on line' the sample menus displayed are far more comprehensive. I mentioned this fact to the lady behind the bar; she said that the situation would be rectified by adjusting their website. What a find! Loved the very relaxed, community feel and was instantly at home. Had the Turkey and Christmas pud washed down by two brilliant local ales. Put it on your 'where to go list.' (Probably best to book)
