Excellant Sunday lunch, I had nut roast which was the best I've ever had! Chocolate brownie & ice cream was yummy.

Having seen good reviews and because they're dog friendly, we planned on early dinner but stayed longer because we enjoyed the feel of the place, the friendly service, great food an unexpected live music. We had lasagne and scampi. Great food. The freshly prepared salad served with the mains was excellent. The creme brulee was freshly made and top notch. I had a well served pint or two of Teignworthy Gun Dog. Well kept, very good beer. All in all a great experience.

Fantastic traditional pub food it was 'scrape your plate clean' good. Good beer and friendly staff. What more would you want? Well, apart from a fabulous pudding!

Lovely pub (proper pub) close to where we were staying. Had a couple of pints of their local real ale which was good. Landlord was accommodating, helpful and good to talk with Our food was served in good time and we were unable to find fault with any of it. The pub is dog friendly and our Springerpoo Mollie was able to sit with us at our table In all a lovely couple of hours at a nice pub in good company We travelled from Wales for a short break so its unlikely we will return but what a gem all the same

Terrible food. Complete waste of money. Straight from the freezer into the fryer. So unhealthy. I had 'gammon steak 'supposedly .This was full of fat and cooked so hard so that the fat could not be seen. This is not gammon steak sorry.

Not very good at all!Well I'll start with the worst parts first: 1. A family member got food poisoning here and was ill for three days.2. The waitress gave us the wrong meal3. I had a chicken burger and I did not enjoy it, mainly because all that was in it was a whole cooked chicken breast, not even sliced or breaded and it looked anemic.4. When I got my pudding it was specifically supposed to come in one bowl, well it came in three separate ones and the ice cream tasted store bought. Will not be coming again!

Eight of us had a meal here & the majority enjoyed theirs. However I chose the sausage, potato with onion gravy & sadly my sausages were cremated. My son ordered lasagna, & that also was extremely over done.

Wow what a treat for an engagement party dinner. A proper authentic Devonshire pub with a lovely landlord and landlady to make the evening a special one. Plenty of room, clean and tidy interior and exterior with a warm and cosy atmosphere we loved. Food was carefully and thoughtfully presented and delicious, we opted for a full three course meal and they exceeded our expectations. A special mention must go to the landlady’s puddings, homemade and indulgently delicious although we thought we couldn’t possibly eat anymore with the generous portions. The cherry on my engagement cake was the local band that rocked up to play an assortment of instruments including the bones, the penny whistle amongst others, there was even a piano to play if you were up for it. An experience money can’t buy found in the middle of the rolling hills of Devon.. thanks for making my night a special one ?
