A warm welcoming pub,full of character with friendly locals and staff.Made to feel relaxed and at home straight away. Superbly cooked fresh food,a great menu choice,with an emphasis on local produce. I run 2 holiday cottages locally and recommend you in my welcome pack as a great place for lunch and dinner. Always a good menu of locally sourced produce, this changes fairly regularly which is great, good choices with something for everyone, a selection of local ales, cider and wines to accompany your meal, good service, lovely atmosphere and a roaring fire to welcome you in the winter months. Locally sourced food.Visited initially for Sunday Roast. That was fantastic. We were tempted back for an evening meal. Again, locally sourced burgers (from the butchers across the road). Amazing, tasty burgers. Desserts were super too. Apple crumble highly recommended.
