Stayed for a night at this quirky, historical hotel. Very comfortable, large room, with fridge, tea, coffee, fresh milk and hot chocolate. Loved the extra touches - the cupboard full of books and DVDs to borrow and the USB charging ports in the plug sockets. Friendly, helpful staff.
I could not rate this central hotel any higher for value. Everything needed was available, including water and milk in a fridge and a view of the street as I had requested. Friendly staff who even posted back my Hearing Aid Box staight away. Only a one night stay but I hope to return to "The Shp"

Staff were so accommodating, letting us check in hours early with no notice, so we could get into our rooms before a wedding. Classic English Pub downstairs, and such nice rooms. Lots of nice touches like free milk in the minibar, coffee and tea. And very affordable. Would definitely stay again
