Slightly dated decor feeling very 80s if you like vintage dining. But their food seems to be always nice and full of flavour - the menu must have changed in the 15 years I've been visiting but when you go to ferns you know what you'll have. Popular with retirees and above.
Myself and several friends Have visited Ferns at least twice a month for years. But I’m afraid we won’t be back. Recently the smell of frying food has just got too much. The cafe stinks of cooking oil and our clothes smelt all day. They have only been doing chips for past few months. I assume to attract families. So Ferns how about investing in a proper extraction system? The food and service has always been great. Home cooked food and good cakes are what people came for....read full review
