“Charming little pub. Incredibly friendly and accommodating personnel. Moreover, the pub welcomes dogs. We opted for the Sunday roast, which, while of moderate quality, was still a satisfying dining experience. Reasonably priced with a diverse selection on the menu.Parking: Ample parking on premises”

“I've probably reviewed the Beer Engine before, but it's worthy of a second A* rating. We wanted to take my mum out for a quality pub meal, so took the train from Dawlish up to Newton St Cyres on a Friday evening. As with previous visits, the owners and staff warmly welcomed us. From there on, in spite if it being a busy evening, the staff were on the ball with our food and drink needs, so we didn't wait long for anything. Then we ordered food. I had Venison (pictured) which was wonderful. My wife and mum had different dishes which were also thoroughly enjoyed. Lovely beer brewed on the premises added to it for me! The Beer Engine is a superb evening out, so I'd encourage you to go there ?”

“Short but varied menu though we choose simple dishes which were cooked and presented well. Great salad and home made tartar sauce.”

“We went for a meal on a Tuesday evening in October, the pub (Inn) was nicely busy with a mix of locals and tourists. The atmosphere was lovely, very warm welcome from the lady serving behind the bar. The food was delicious, well prepared, especially the homemade pumpkin soup, and the Prawn linguine. The waitress was positive which made every interaction enjoyable. Another plus it was great value. I would say its would probably be worth booking as I think the Poltimore Inn would get busy at the weekends and high season.”

“Such a great bar.. excellent atmosphere and what these guys don't know about beer isn't worth knowing.. equally good to go for a chin wag or watch the world go by on your own.”

“My wife and I met some friends at the Mount Radford today, as their son has turned 21 and we can’t attend his party next week. What lovely place to go. We were made to feel welcome from the get go. And the service was just excellent, delivered by Joe, and Craig. Who I do believe is the manager. The food was also extremely tasty and good value for money in our opinion. I’m sure that when in Exeter again. We will definitely be calling in. Thanks for your great hospitality team Mount Radford.”
