One of the best UK restaurants I have eaten at this year. Outstanding food, interesting menu, lovely staff, cosy venue. Presented beautifully. About £40 a head for three courses plus a few bonus tasters. If there's better food for the same money in England, I've not found it yet!
I just wanted to say what a lovely place this is. I'm in the area for a family event and happened to stop here, just to kill abit of time, and I'm glad I did. I had the delicious carrot and lentil soup to start, and for main I had their fish pie. The food was absolutely lovely. The service, second to none! I well and truly landed on my feet coming here. Should I visit this region of the country again I will be delighted if I have the opportunity to come here again. Thank you.

Visited The Jack in the Green for Sunday lunch whilst staying nearby. Can’t fault the service or the food. The best roast dinner we’ve ever been out for! The pub itself is warm and well decorated, spacious and clean. The staff are very professional and polite but friendly. Will definitely be going back when we are in the area again.
