Ok, so let's address the common whine from outsiders and grockles: "Mr Grumpy" is basically Basil Fawlty and one of the many local eccentric characters. He doesn't mean most of the rude/grumpy things he says; he just has a very dry sense of humour. We made a group booking for 12 of us as we were away for New Year. We all had the carvery as it was a Sunday. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Amazing value for money too! The chef came to chat to make sure our food was all ok and offered us more! He really made us laugh and made our visit memorable! Highly recommend ?

Fantastic meal last night. Prawns and mussels linguine…. Tom, that was amazing. Absolutely delicious. Loads of seafood in a mildly spiced sauce of ginger and chilli. People, do yourself a favour and go and taste Tom’s food. Genius chef.
