“We were visiting Ilfracombe and were trying to find somewhere reasonable to eat and this was perfect. They helpfully had the menus outside which was great. The staff were lovely, the food was great, so reasonably priced. Arrived very quickly and you get plenty. Would definitely visit again!”

“My wife and I called in for Dinner my first impression was that it was very quiet, however the locals and the staff were very friendly and quite happy to chat. We decided to try the steak I had a ribeye and she who shall be obeyed had the sirloin. The chief a South African chap came out and had a chat he took our order and he could not have done it better the food was excellent made fresh to order. If you are in Combe Martin don't be put off with the negative ninny reviews, or that its a bit shabby sheik its a nice place and you should try it I will definitely be back next time I am in Combe Martin.”

“I went to watch the Women's World Cup Final. The staff put a great effort in with swift service and face painting. Loads of different spaces to watch the game. Sadly, they were let down by their caterers at the last minute, so no food. I'll go back when I'm next in Ilfracombe.”

“Tuesday midday so very quiet.Excellent service and friendly helpfull staff.Food quickly served and of good quality. Steak and kidney pudding very nice, if a little short on filling, and the chips were perfectly cooked. Mushy peas were excellent and the accompaning jug of gravy set the meal of well.Sirloin steak decent size and well flavoured but more medium than the medium rare ordered.Overall very good value for money with a pleasant ambience in a nice location.”

“We have literally just left and I was so compelled to write a review. We came here with our dachshund and our 5 month old. We had absolutely excellent and loaded plates of Sunday dinner. The meat was beautiful. We then had really lovely desserts (I had a massive slice of choc fudge cake).The food was brilliant, but more importantly the service was incredible. Way above and beyond. When we arrived they made space for us, the barman made sure we got best value for money on the meal deal, he pointed out baby changing and offered to heat bottles or whatever we needed. Not only that but as I was eating dessert our baby started fussing... A lovely lady (who I think may have been manager?) literally rocked the pram keeping little one happy so I could eat my cake in peace! Just the best service we have seen in ages. I would strongly recommend a visit!!”
