Quick service. Jon has been serving food at the George for a while and his food is always top notch. It is a family run, dog friendly business right in the heart of fore Street. I come to the George every time I come down to Ilfracombe and never regret it when I do. The prices are also good. Last minute decision to have a Sunday lunch so called in on the off chance. There was only Sunday lunch being offered but that suited us fine. Meal arrived and was hot and piled high with veg, a few roast potatoes, 2 large slices of lamb and a Yorkshire pudding !

This was a very nice place set just off the frount. It oozed with history. It offered a great selection of quality drinks and food, with hospitality and friendly staff. A perfect place to meet up with friends to while away the day.
