Absolutely phenomenal! We were recommended here for Sunday lunch by the owner of our air bnb and goodness me, we were thrilled for that recommendation! A wonderful atmosphere with lovely background live music from mid afternoon, great service and the roast beef was out of this world! And whatever the chef did to the cauliflower cheese was wonderful! One of the best roasts we've ever had!Food & drinks: Just wonderful!

Hadn’t been to The Milbrook in many years until last weekend. 6 of us walked there from Salcombe and had a few drinks before stumbling home in the rain. It’s such a cute pub and you could tell the food quality is very impressive. A warm fire and great gin selection was exactly what we needed.Already looking forward to our next visit.

It’s been a few years since we’ve been able to visit the Millbrook during our annual January week in Salcombe. Most years the pub has been closed as the staff take a well earned break after the busy Christmas and New Year period. This year we were lucky as they were still open. Years ago an old school friend of mine owned the place. In more recent times it has become more of a food destination but still retained its cosy pub atmosphere -- downstairs anyway. Our table booking was on the first floor dining area which used to be part of the flat for staff accommodation. It has been tastefully refurbished and decorated in a simple style. We chose a Sunday lunch sitting and enjoyed a pint or two of local real ale before going to our table. Between the four of us we chose the nicely rare beef, smoked pork and lamb. All pronounced excellent. Prices have risen noticeably throughout the world of hospitality in the past few years. Be prepared so see a bill around the £200 mark for four including a decent bottle of red at £55. It still represents good value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Let’s hope they’re open next time we’re down this way.

A warm welcome to a cozy dining area by the front of house. Our family was a party of four of which three of us had the festive pheasant roast which was generous and very tasty. The pheasant meal also included a glass of sparkling wine, a nice touch I thought. One of our party had the pork chop which was large and also nice tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Not a cheap place to eat but the quality is there and worth the money paid. The Village looked beautiful with the lights all down both sides of the road.

Sunday lunch outside in the sunshine with live music in October. What more could you ask for! The roast was delicious, such a good portion all freshly cooked and probably the best cauliflower cheese I've tasted. Staff were very attentive too.

What a lunch! The sun was shining for a pre-lunch drink outside listening to the stream, our food appeared and not a morsel was left! All fabulous, and the best roast potato’s I’ve ever had, truly! Already booked in on a Sunday in November to try the roast! Simply fabulous, thank you Millbrook team.

Outstanding as always. Our holiday to Salcombe wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the Millbrook and certainly for a Sunday Roast! I’m sure I’m not alone in saying that everywhere is expensive at the moment to dine out but the Millbrook offers excellent value for money when you consider the high quality of food, the brilliant service and the ambiance. Keep doing what your doing, we love our visits.

Wow just what was required to Kickstart our weekend away (and to very quickly forget the 6hr trip to get there).Staff are incredibly friendly/accommodating/knowledgeable about the food and drinks, nothing phased or was to much trouble.Chef is inventive and certainly knows what works well together, this coupled with amazing local produce is a very heavy mix.A must if in the area for foodies
