It’s been a few years since we’ve been able to visit the Millbrook during our annual January week in Salcombe. Most years the pub has been closed as the staff take a well earned break after the busy Christmas and New Year period. This year we were lucky as they were still open. A warm welcome to a cozy dining area by the front of house. Our family was a party of four of which three of us had the festive pheasant roast which was generous and very tasty. The pheasant meal also included a glass of sparkling wine, a nice touch I thought. One of our party had the pork chop which was large and also nice tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. Sunday lunch outside in the sunshine with live music in October. What more could you ask for! The roast was delicious, such a good portion all freshly cooked and probably the best cauliflower cheese I've tasted. Staff were very attentive too.
