I enjoyed the room but my goodness if you choose to eat here brace for a huge bill and really mediocre food. When I’d finished I said to the really nice waiter … ‘the food is really expensive … and he said, I know’. I really wonder who scored the food highly … it was pretty bad ?

As a single traveller I like to test places out on how they serve/treat you being on your own. Couldn't fault this place. Service from Scott, the barman, was very good. Made sure I was ok, enjoying my drink and food. Everyone that went in was made to feel welcome. Can definitely recommend the Exmoor burger!Food & drinks: Good

The staff are both welcoming and helpful.A beautiful old pub, full of character, set on the harbour. We just had a roast beef sandwich after a beautiful walk around Countisbury and The Foreland. The bar is dog friendly.Toilets spotlessly clean.

Absolutely amazing hotel in a fabulous location. Went with my partner for our anniversary. There's no parking at the hotel, but there's a public car park 5 minutes walk away and we paid £12 for 24 hours. All the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help you, especially the lovely lady at breakfast each morning! We had a valentines meal in the restaurant and the food was exceptional, as were the breakfasts. The hotel is in a fabulous location and if you get a sea view room, you won't be disappointed! Highly recommend ?Rooms: Well appointed, luxurious and spotlessly clean!

Absolutely fantastic service from both staff members on duty - really engaged and friendly. The food was excellent. Good characterful pub, that was warm and cosy with a blooming brilliant view out of the window. Good selection of Badger beers. Prices are fair, certainly considering the location. All in all, would highly recommend and will be going back next time we pop over the hill. Thanks!

Didn't stay, just called in for a meal on a blustery winters day. Good menu reasonably priced and Badger ales on tap. Great location on the sea front near the cliff railway.

Lovely christmas break for us and the doggies . Dont expect Hilton type pampering but they did us proud with a very relaxing few days . As A vegetarian I think the food selection could be more than just a butternut squash based meal but it was still very good . Would easily recommend.
