“We came here today for a carvery, absolutely outstanding service, food was amazing, such a selection of veg, meat was tender, carver was so kind to my daughter when she asked for extra pigs in blankets- we will definitely be back, a lovely atmosphere and a lovely village, also excellent price it being a Sunday when a lot of places inflate their prices, this is excellent value!”

“We had our wedding meal at The Court Farm, in a gorgeous private upstairs room, in November 2024. The service was second to none, you couldn’t have done more for us. Prosecco on arrival and asked why music we would like streamed through the speakers. Would recommend to anyone wanting something quiet, with delicious top quality food and fantastic service. Thank you for making our afternoon so special.”

“What a wonderful old village pub.
The food is excellent and generous portions with something for everyone in the menu.
We had a last minute table for 6 tonight (6/9/25) and before we left, rebooked for Friday evening as a great end to our holiday.”

“Had a great time, food very enjoyable, and a great menu, and remember to ask for specials.
Also, book early, I recommend upstairs as more relaxed, in my opinion. We were 4 but I noted even larger tables were all served together.
House wine not cheap but very enjoyable, as the driver, I had little so must enjoy what I had.
The table is yours for the evening, no urgency for extra covers.
Mobility, upstairs there is a toilet and the stairs although long are comfortable, but downstairs access ok but I think a wheelchair would have some difficulty on a busy night.
Just a note if wheelchair user, the car park is very steep in places..
Vegetarian options: Fish dishes are all good, fish pie is enormous. I had skate wing cooked perfect, and I am fussy pescatarian.
Parking: Country Lane narrow and no signal but satnav ok.
Wheelchair accessibility: As above.”

“Beautiful little medieval style pub, tucked away in the countryside. We went there for lunch after visiting Canonteign Falls as it's only 5 mins away. Food was delicious, staff were really friendly and the place itself felt really inviting. Will definitely be back.”

“This lady really knows her coffee, we had to have a second in one sitting. Perfect freshly squeezed orange juice, you could tell it was completely fresh and hand made, but thick and juicy. The cakes are divine and fresh. Only areas for improvement is more detail to the menu as it didn't really sell the food well so ended up going for the basics, and would have preferred the beans to be heinz. Those are the only things i would improve on! Highly recommend.”

“Such a lovely spacious bar/ cafe eatery I just learnt my Auntie died this morning and wallows into town to get a few bits and to think and digest such sad news as she was like a Mum to me. Jazz the bar person was so kind and listened to me as I justified a cider instead of a coffee She showed such compassion I will certainly be in again and have decided to stay for lunch Thank you Jazz”
