Kid-friendliness: Little play area was great. Prices of food and coffee were absolutely ridiculous I mean £9 for a toastie ? even the coffee was nearly £4

First off I'd like to recommend the company to be renamed Heg and Hog, dont ask questions it just works. But most importantly we had a 10/10 breakfast at your establishment, great quality food and a good selection of items. However I think a smaller portion of the heg and hog English breakfast for the young and weak would be a good idea as yours

Friendly staff, reasonable prices, a bit of a barn but had play facilities for our granddaughter.

We love the Hog & Hedge, Whiddon Down. It's just the right thing in just the right place when we're making our way home to Cornwall. As a Cornishman 'in exile' in Somerset we do go here quite a bit and it never fails to disappoint, granted we've not eaten here, it's mostly a quick 'splash & dash', you know, quick coffee and a loo break, which is a bit unfair because it's so pleasant here. One day we will find the time to enjoy a meal here, then I will report further, but as a coffee stop it's a good un, the coffee is excellent and the staff are lovely too!! (Plus there's some green space for walking your woofer, if you're travelling with your furry companion!!)

Slow service as it was busy and very expensive.

Tasty breakfast if a little

Great venue. Big enough to be anonymous for a work catch up but good, personable service and real food sourced locally. And they are Real Living Wage accredited - an important standard.

What a welcome break (pardon the pun) from the usual service stations. Spacious, clean and a fair amount of choice the menu. We stopped for breakfast and will do so again.

This is one of the best service stations to stop at. Amazing baby changing facilities and a great kids play area inside (could do with a clean though). The food is more national trust rather motorway services. The only issue with this is that it’s quite expensive.

We love calling on our way to and from Cornwall with our two dogs. Lovely helpful staff, great coffee and sandwiches - we love the fully recyclable packaging
