Recent drove past this pub and it looked worth a visit so walked down to it today from Drewsteignton and so pleased we did. Fantastic pub, lovely fire, great beer/cider and really friendly barman and locals, what's not to like. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area but please note they don't open til 4pm. Also a massive thanks to the owners for saving this amazing pub xx

We have driven past this Dartmoor gem on many, many occasions but had never stopped here because it was always closed when we come past. It doesn't open until 4 pm. This time we were at the right time and were glad we did stop. The interior is traditional moor style and has not been given a trendy makeover unsuitable for the venue as so many other pubs have been. Utterly splendid establishment featuring the entire spectrum of interesting rogues, eccentric legends and stalwart cohorts, set amongst a backdrop of cosy euphonious ambience and canine companionship. The fire is always on and the beer uniformly excellent.
