Pubs in Okehampton

“We had a large party of people to eat here together. The food and staff were fantastic. I was expecting some of the food to be cold but everyone's meal was hot and delicious. They catered very well indeed for people with food allergies and intolerances. The decor was beautifully done, and the bathrooms were good enough to live in. The only negative comment would be that service between courses was far too long. And several people had already left before the desert was brought out.Dietary restrictions: Most of the meal was gluten free. Which was fantastic and really helps to stop you feeling like you are being difficult.”

“Small, local pub, almost like home. Local people just pour their own pints. Great selection of ciders. I haven't tried the food yet, as we only pop in for a drink. Owners so nice and friendly!”

“Great pub, lovely atmosphere , excellent service. Called in a couple of times for a drink and had really nice meal on Saturday evening.Despite it being really busy and a staff member being unwell and going home the service was faultless. My husband had London burger and said it was one of the best burgers he had ever eaten. All food really good especially raspberry and pistachio semifrodo which was delicious. Very dog friendly and our dog enjoyed the ice cream off the doggy menu. Would definitely recommend a visit here.”

“Visited twice for dinner as was staying down the road on holiday. First night didn’t book as was a Monday, second we did book as was a Friday night and luckily got a table. Both evenings food was lovely! Food isn’t expensive so wasn’t sure what to expect as although pub is clean and cosy it is a traditional pub with sticky tables. Could not have been more surprised by the clearly home cook food. Really good portions too! Service was really friendly also! Plenty of choice of drinks too. Would return if holidaying here again.”
