I went here with my family today for hot drinks and cake. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere was nice enough.We ordered a flat white, a hot chocolate and a slice of cake. The cake was nice but the coffee tasted watery and was topped with foam (like a cappuccino), the hot chocolate was also watery/milky, and the milk tasted scorched. Bagels with cheddar and bacon ? and poached eggs ? were lovely, cooked to perfection. Ham, cheese and mushroom omelette was tasty and plenty of it. Staff all friendly and welcoming. Always great food.

Lovely little cafe on the Barbican…have only eaten breakfast here on the 2 occasions I’ve visited but looking at their extensive menu I’ll want to return for lunch. As it was a Tuesday morning we hadn’t booked but I think at weekends, booking will be essential. Staff are very friendly and there seems to be a few regular customers.
