“WOW, what a find!! Arrived at Bideford bay for a week's holiday. The Bell had been recommended to us - and rightly so. 2 adults and a dog were welcomed by very friendly staff (sometimes when a 'new face' enters a local pub you feel a little uncomfortable - but this was definitely not the case). The menu was varied, with plenty of options to suit all tastes - even better was the fact that everything was home made - a rarity these days. The food took a while, but who cares when you get this sort of quality (and you are 'chillin' on holiday). My wife had the home made chicken and ham pie, I opted for the cod loin - both were superb. We never usually have a pudding, but felt it would be rude not to try ?. Again, the summer pudding and chocolate brownie were both amazing. We will definitely be back to try other options on the menu - just a real shame that we're only here for the week.”

“The oldest surviving pub in Launceston ( Cornwall). A place to meet existing friends and make new ones.
Quality and variety of drinks unequalled .
Work is ongoing to keep it that way .”

“Really night food, friendly staff and great little play area for the kids.
Wish it was my local.”
