Chittlehampton, UmberleighGreat food (nothing too fancy but reliable and great portions). Very friendly staff. Excellent beer, kept fresh. Very good atmosphere and always lively on a Friday or Saturday. Good beer garden for when the sun is out! One of the favourite local pubs!

Rectory Ln, Parkham, BidefordWe were away for a few days with my brother and his wife. Mixed weather! We all enjoyed a really lovely meal. Super staff as well. Thank you. We were staying in the rental over the road. Home now.

A388, Monkleigh, BidefordGood pub, staff were very friendly! Dog was welcome and they had lovely dogs there.I had the slow cooked pork belly and it was not one to disappoint, melting at the plate - must try!Chips were perfectly crisped up and seasoned well.Would deffinetly come back if local!

1 Tower St, LauncestonOldest pub in the town, apparently built for the stonemasons that built the church next door.Always a choice of 5 real ales, plus ciders etc. All in excellent condition.Proper "pub", no jukebox or TV.Regular live music, quiz nights and always a warm welcome.

Chittlehamholt, UmberleighIt is difficult to put into words how special this place is. Complete tonic - peaceful, ultra comfortable luxury. The accommodation is out of this world, but it is the people who work here that are the real difference. From the moment of arrival to every interaction -reception, bar staff, restaurant staff, activity centre staff everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful. Really get the impression that they enjoy working here. We played golf, ate in the restaurant and drank in the bar ( all superb). The manor house has beautiful comfortable reception rooms including an open fire, original features and felt like home. Thank you for the most extraordinary break.
