Very disappointing meal. Restaurant freezing cold, we had to eat with our coats on and noticed the only 4 other people in the pub were the same, it was freezing and quite uncomfortable. Main meal very average and not cheap. Very few desserts to choice from so we all opted for a hot drink instead. We have to return all hot drinks as were Luke warm. Hot chocolate was watery and not pleasant. None of us would choose to revisit this pub.

A Little disappointing, We book here as we were traveling and we would be passing through here around midday, We booked here because they offered a choice for Gluten free, Friendly welcome and quickly shown a table, nice selection of Ales on offer, We both ordered Fish & Chips, Fish was ok, chips were ok, Mushy Peas were stone cold, We eat out regularly and this is the first time in years no one bothered to come and ask if everything was ok, Had they we would have given them the opportunity to just replace the Peas. We did not want to make a fuss so just pointed the matter out to the gentleman at the bar when paying. He did knock £3 off the bill, we did not ask for or want a discount just a decent meal

Had a Sunday lunch for two, the pork roast was very good, the vegan roast was not such a good meal, it was unsubstantial for a roast lunch and the main constituent was luke warm. As vegetarians pay similar amounts for their meals they should expect the same standards. More thought should be considered for their requirements especially as we are now moving toward a more meat free society.

I had been for lunch with some friends a couple of weeks before and having only lived down the road for almost 11 years and never gone there I have no excuse but we’re stuck to find somewhere on a Monday locally that was open for food and Worlds End was so gave it a try and wasn’t disappointed. A lovely old pub serving traditional English food with a modern twist very friendly and welcoming with a lovely service and doggy friendly since then have been back a couple of times and looking forward to heading back again soon.

Met with friends for lunch and were very pleased . The sandwiches with fries were very tasty and good value. The others had fish and chips which were also very good. Good service . Drinks were good and a choice of real ales.

I met up with a good friend and we chose this place as it was in the middle of a rather long journey for each of us. The welcome was perfect, the place was buzzing and the food was excellent! I hope to be back!

So glad we found this pub, wonderful place, wonderful people and fantastic food. nothing was too much trouble. Great with food allergies and even the dog was welcomed. Will definitely be back.Dietary restrictions: Nothing was too much trouble, even made special gravy this morning to suit our dietary requirements

We had the best roast dinner we have had in a pub for years. Every item on the plate was excellent. The broccoli cheese was a superb addition .

Beautiful pub, great location. How could they get it so wrong? Called in here for a pint and bite to eat. Pleasant but very inexperienced staff. Bar staff couldn’t pour a pint. No butter for the bread, nobody checked if the meal was ok. Fries arrived instead of chips and they were disgusting. Completely hard and overcooked in dirty oil. The manager was kind but you could tell he was inexperienced. Judging by the food, they need a complete overhaul of kitchen staff and all staff need to go on a training course. What a total disappointment. I wouldn’t go back.

Beautiful Pub. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Disappointing the only two slices of beef with the roast were extremely tough and fatty. Asked for dessert menu, disappointing as no puddings with custard, no cheesecake, just fruit, ice cream and sorbet.Vegetarian options: Our friends enjoyed the vegetarian option.

It was not pleasant from the start. The top of the table was so wobbly so I moved the lit candle in case it toppled over!!!! We had the fish and chips but the batter was so hard and overcooked. You couldn’t use the salt and pepper as it was so greasy and would not move. We then had coffee which was equally a disaster. The waitress didn’t know what a decaf coffee ☕️ with cream was so bought an expresso in a tiny cup. When I said I didn’t order an espresso she just poured it in a bigger cup and brought it back. Service was really terrible and my friend and I will not be going back again.
