I come down to this kiosk a few times a year I always buy my food from these guys as it's the best 1 on the harbour always large size dinner's served by friendly staff that will go out of there way for you even if it's not on the menu they will cook it for you. The fish is AMAZING the chips are the best 1s Ive had. And to be fair you never have to wait long for food when there busy.BUT TO BE FAIR ALL THE FOOD AND DRINKS ARE REASONABLY PRICED............P.S SEE YOU GUYS NEXT YEAR...

The worst fish and chips I’ve ever had, they should not be allowed to serve such terrible food to the public, I wouldn’t feed it to a dog!!Food was cooked in really dirty oil and that was all you could taste, the fish was batter was rock hard and greasy to the point where it was dripping off, the chips were awful also cooked in really dirty oil and the fish was at least a week old! Situated on the sea front you expect fresh and tasty! Not minging!!! I threw it away and went to another place.I have given 1 star only because I’m forced to , to be able to post this

It was my birthday and was so looking forward to a traditional hot doughnut. I was so disappointed when went to all open shacks to be told either they didnt sell. this place does but only on Saturdays. So disappointed

Only tried it because Harbour Lights wasn’t serving food?. Fish excellent and chips fab. Unfortunately staff members had faces as miserable as sin and had no customer skills…

This is without doubt, the best place for a great meal!!Excellent ? service and very friendly and helpful staff!I was in Westbay for a weeks holiday, went to the ships galley every night! It got so routine that the staff knew what I wanted as soon as I arrived!Ships galley is the best place in the southwest foe jacket potatoes and I was having 2 at a time! Loved them!

With so much competition in the area it’s hard to choose where to get food from.Luckily we came here and had some great chips and sausages with a side of curry sauce!The food was cooked just right and it only took them a few minutes to be ready. The curry was was extremely nice as well!Staff were friendly and worked through the big queue outside quickly. We would definitely come here next time we’re here!

Had Large Fish & Chips (maybe should have had just regular) and Double Cheeseburger & Chips plenty of food and all cooked well chips were just right and fish was freshly cooked in crispy batter. Wife said burger was really good. Our dog Maddie also enjoyed the large sausage .

I had fish chips and mushy peas from the ships galley.My meal was delicious, and the chips were probably some of the best chip shop chips I have ever tasted. The fish and peas were also top quality.I can highly recommend the fish and chips from this shop.
Best fish and chips in West Bay. Continued to go back the whole week we stayed. The chips always had a nice crunch and never soggy. My veggie burger was delicious too and i really liked the bread roll it came in.

Absolutely amazing service and top quality food. Me and my husband came to West Bay for the first time and stopped of at (ships galley) . The food was Delicious, service was top notch . My husband had Fish and Chips and said it's the best fish he's had by far . I had a portion of chips with Irish Curry sauce. Definitely worth a visit again soon. Thank you. ?

We normally have fish and chips here when we are in the area but never again. The chips were fine but the fish was so thin. I don't think it was cod or haddock but something much cheaper. We have been ill ever since. We paid £17.60 for fish and chips but will be taking our business elsewhere in future.

First night of the holidays and a fish n chips fix was needed. Chose this place purely because it had a queue so thought the food must be good... It was! Huge piece of fish, good portion of (as advertised) proper cut chips. The fish was perfectly cooked and full of flavour the chips were spot on too. Few days later we did it again ?

Service was not a pleasant experience, the staff were not dressed properly, and they seemed to have a few hanger ons in the kitchen. A few lessons in manners would not go a miss. Seemed like grab your money, not bothered now!. Although the food was edible. Would look elsewhere in future.
