We stayed at this hotel as we were in Bridport for a wedding, the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming! We were first greeted by Harry behind the bar & then Nicole the owner & they made us feel comfortable & relaxed. The rooms were lovely & clean & the beds were really comfortable. Although they don’t offer breakfast they recommended a place across the road, The Green Yard where we had an amazing breakfast with lots of choice. My wife and I decided on a last minute staycation in Bridport and decided to stay at The Lord Nelson and we were jolly glad we did. The owner Nicole and her staff were not only brilliant but an absolute hoot! We will be back next summer.Food & drinks: The bitters were spot on.

Enjoyable stay at the Lord Nelson, which is a real old-fashioned pub, with a good welcome, and some delicious beers and ciders. We had a large comfortable double room and bathroom. A new landlady has recently taken over and is re-decorating the premises. According to locals, the pub had previously become rather run-down, so good luck to Nicole in taking this on. Very friendly and helpful staff, and we would gladly stay there again.
